Day 31- Fire!

I'm officially 1/12 done with this blog. Oh, dear....  I'm actually really surprised a managed to make it this far. Yay...go me! Tonight we had a fire drill...luckily I decided against showering when I originally planned to!  But ya, it was really loud and annoying and at an inconvenient time while I was powering through my english paper.  Speaking of english paper...I should get back to that. Happy Day!

Psalm 34: 1-4
I will bless the Lord at all times:
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make her boast in the Lord:
The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
Oh magnify the Lord with me,
and let us exalt His name together.
I sought the Lord and He heard me,
and delivered me from all my fears!!

Day 30- last food post....promise.

I don't even know what to say right now. I'm embarrassed. I'm not even going to even going to talk about what's in the picture because I'm bored and I'm sure you are bored about reading about my unhealthy dietary habits.  So, my goal for this next week is to NOT post about food.

PS: We did p90x today so it doesn't even count that we ate ice cream, right?

John 16:33
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Day 29- hot-n-ready

First off, the weather this weekend was amazing.  Every time we walked out of our apartment we were in shock of the gloriousness. We attended our first Carolina basketball game...and it was quite eventful!  We had a good 10 minute feature on the jumbo tron looking absolutely ridiculous while receiving our pizza after being awarded the hot-n-ready winners! Cocky then proceeded to kiss us and whack Allison in the neck with the pizza box.  Then everyone kept creepily eying us and trying to snag some pizza...but they should have been more enthusiastic during the cheering competition. After the unfortunate loss we soaked in the beautiful weather and gave Rae a tour of the greek mansions.  Then we ate...a lot. And ate some more.  I also found my new fav place - Which-Which. SO good! Everyone needs to go there...it will send your taste buds on the best ride of their life!

Psalm 46:10
"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

Day 28- RAEBAE

Ravishing
Awkwardly Awesome (At Absorbing?)
Exotic

Rae came to town for a visit and it was SO great.  She spent her nights at the Rutledge Palace and her daylight hours scurrying through the USC campus. We introduced her to the delightful cuisines of the Russel House, and fattened her up at Frozen-yo splenty of times. If you have been keeping track...yes, I ate ice cream everyday this week.  Is that bad? Of course not!   But, back to Rae...she is so fabulous and it was a blasty blast hanging out with her and some other nova frands this weekend!

Day 27- so fresh and so clean.

Today was cleaning day! And oh, boy was it needed...my room...it was getting kinda scary in there! Rachel and I cleaned like it was our job, while jamming out to the Eminem special of Fuse and discussing how Eminem needs to know Jesus. Just a thought. (Thanks, Allie for putting that idea into our minds)  And yes, we do clean with mohawk man, and  yes, we are planning on collecting his whole famjam....I know you're probably screaming with jealously right now.  We were hardcore though...we scrubbed the kitchen floor, bathroom floor, vacuumed, dusted... we even decorated the walls with wall decals! Wow, we are so domesticated it's scary. Secretively we both like to clean because after it's all done you just feel so accomplished and good about yourself...except for the grimy yucky feeling you get after scrubbing grimy yucky things...even though we did ponder hiring a cleaning lady...But, do not ask us to clean your place because that's not okay.

PS: This really cool chick, RAE is coming to visit tomorrow....so stay tuned for some awesome times!

"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength"

Day 26- Diet Coke- My One True Love

So, it's day 26 and it sort of hit me tonight that this whole one picture a day is going to be a lot harder than I thought. It's hard picking out one event, or even just remembering to bring "my" camera everywhere is a challenge within itself.  So, today I'm sharing a picture of Diet Coke because I forgot my camera at every event I attended today...and well I just love the stuff!  I have a very unhealthy addiction to Diet Coke.  I'm talkin' like major headaches if I don't get my daily dose. I mean seriously...how embarrassing is that?! And nothing can cure this craving except for that beautiful silver can, or bottle...or the best kind is from Chick-Fil-A. Ah! Just so good! Now... I'm going to be pretty deep right now... I also have a tendency to burp...a lot...and very loud.  And I'm sorry for anyone I've scared, woken up or just flat out disgusted because of my burps.  I'm trying SO hard to be a lady and not burp. (Mom & Dad, you should be so proud) And I'm trying to limit my Diet Coke intake...but I'm just taking that one day at a time.  So, please...I give you permission slap me if I burp!

Romans 10:9
If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Day 25- Coloring

Yep. This is what I did in class today. Drew and colored this oh so wonderful piece of work.  You probably can't even tell what this is a picture of, and I can not tell you because I'm not sure either!  Pretty much, I'm probably going to be the next Picasso...no big deal. I just love being an Early Childhood major...while all you pre-med and engineering majors are listening to super boring lectures...I am coloring, and playing with play-doh and children. Mom and Dad... aren't you glad this is what you're paying for :) But, it's not all fun and games there are some more serious intellectual areas of the major...like how the mind works and how children learn and weird things like that!

PS: ladies of the "wackhouse"...this painting will be framed and placed in our home where everyone will see it!

1 John 4:7
"Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God"

Day 24- Ice Cream Monday

The amount of ice cream my besties and I eat is so grossly absurd. Monday's are known as "ice cream monday's."  In the beginning of the year we started out with each of us getting a pint of ben & jerrys but signs of the freshman 15 starting appearing so we vetoed that plan. Freshens is a much healthier choice for ice cream monday...well, we just like to think its a healthy ritual! The week never really feels right if I don't have ice cream on monday!

PS: Caroline wanted me to mention her in the blog today...so...she created this fine "creative" layout of our ice cream, fruit, straw?, cup and wallet. Thanks girl, you really are the best!

Romans 8: 38-39
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Day 23- Mac & Cheese

2 things: Never go grocery shopping while hungry- for obvious reasons and 2, don't go to church hungry. I made that mistake tonight.  It's just not a good situation because your stomach starts yelling at really bad times...and that's just embarrassing.  Luckily that didn't happen to me tonight! Instead, the Pastor talked about community and related fellowship to Macaroni. So from then on my mind kept shifting from the message, to macaroni...back to the message.  So stressful and mind boggling.  So, right when I got back to my place I made a mean box of Macaroni...Toy Story shapes edition of course :) Happy Day blog viewers!

I Have A Hope- Tommy Walker
I have a hope, I have a future
I have a destiny that is yet awaiting me
My life’s not over, a new beginning’s just begun
I have a hope, I have this hope

God has a plan, it’s not to harm me
But it’s to prosper me and to hear me when I call
He intercedes for me, working all things for my good
Though trials may come I have this hope

Day 22- Father & Son

Worship this weekend was absolutley amazing...Ed Cash is a great musician and did such a terrific job! I must say, I'm quite an emotional wreck and cried every night of worship. If you know me, you know how sadly true this is and how little it takes for me to shed a tear.  Not because I'm sad; 95% of the time I cry because I'm just really happy and laugh too hard. It was a good thing I just bought some outstanding waterproof mascara that workers wonders! But, another thing that brings about all sorts of emotions is...children.  I love kids! Everything about them!  Ed brought up his son on stage and they sang and played "How Great is Our God Together"...and I lost it. It was such an amazing moment watching this little guy praise the Lord with all his heart! Goodness, I'm about to cry just thinking about this moment- this can't be normal!

Psalm 95:1
"Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation"

Day 21- Room 1609!

This weekend I attended a Leader Conference in the dirrrrrrtay myrtle!  The drive there felt like it took days because we got lost and ended up at the wrong hotel.  We thought we would be funny and prank someone saying we were lost when we thought we were at the hotel...but we actually were lost...and we felt really dumb. But we eventually arrived at the palace and all was good. I call it a palace because I slept in a king sized bed and there was a jacuzzi, pretty high class if ya ask me!  The first night was great, I got to really know a lot of the Freshman girls going through the Young Life process and it was just great talking about placement and how God is working in our lives. These girls are SO awesome! They provide so much encouragement and love for each other...it's a such blessing to know each of them! I'm so glad we all got to bond this weekend :)

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Day 20- Oh, Happy Day!

It was a beautiful day! My favorite kind of weather. Not freezing but not excruciatingly hot either. I feel like the atmosphere on campus is just so much nicer on days like this! And I felt so motivated to do things so I did 4 loads of laundry, went to class,  the gym AND cleaned! It was just perfect; I loved it, and I hope it doesn't go away!! This picture is literally the view of what I see everyday I walk out my door...how lucky am I?!  Seriously though, living in Rutledge is great...well, minus all the mechanical crap that always breaks... but, the location is great and I can't wait till I can do my homework under my favorite tree :) And also, if whoever living above me is by some chance reading this can you please stop throwing your weights above my bed and walking your elephant across the entire floor, running down the steps and slamming the front door, my roommate and I would greatly appreciate!

PS: I will be going out of town for weekend and probably wont be able to post so check back in on Sunday evening to see some of the awesome things I got myself into. It's going to be great- promise!

Psalm 19: 1-2

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge."

Day 19- Goodnight, Moon

So...I was going to take a picture at the gym...but, I didn't because that would of been a little bit awkward and probably not socially okay.  Then I was like well its alright I'll just take a picture at my bible study (party) because I love it so SO much...but, I forgot the camera.  And then I could of taken a picture at College Life...but, I blogged about that last week. So, I took a picture of the FULL moon. Yep, pretty sure that thing is full. As I was taking this picture a random guy tried to tell me it was missing a sliver between 6 and 9 o'clock but he should take a look at the Almanac moon phase calendar because he was wrong.  It is 100% full ladies and gentlemen! :)

PS: after our cadio boxing class, Caroline and I are totally hardcore...so do not mess with us :)

Psalm 136:7
Give thanks to him who made the heavenly lights--His faithful love endures forever.

Day 18- @$#%$^%&*^(&)%$%$@#%$^%&*^(^# ugh.

To start off...this is my second time writing this post because I wrote the whole thing once and then deleted it.  Just one more thing to add to the downward spiral of not so good events from tonight. Pretty much tonight was not the best and 365 was almost dunzo because of it.  From the picture you can obviously tell that I lost my best friend, my soul mate and the love of my life; my camera.  Dramatic? yes. But whatever, I just really liked my camera.  I lost is on a house hunting adventure with my besties, but because I was the one that got out at every house- finding it was slim to none.  So for any of my blog fans living in the Harden, Wheat, Monroe, Duncan, Holly area who want to go on a jog (or walk it's up to you).. around the neighborhood in the search for my camera..I'd greatly appreciate it and I'd love you forever...maybe I'll even give you a cookie if you find it :) The camera is a black fujifilm and has a picture of a house, a pretty girl with a red umbrella, tons of fish and some other random pictures. So, even though my parents probably won't be able to see the good in this- I think there is and I'm trying to be positive about my loss.  I probably sound so dramatic and you're probably thinking, wow Amy, just get over it... but you don't understand- I took that thing everywhere!  I just like to remember that the Lord constantly throws challenges and pot holes in front of us but he will always provide and it's just important to always look for the positives in every negative situation.  So, that's what I'm going to do. Stay positive and keep my fingers crossed!

PS: Any senior at USC looking to sell their 4 BR home, please let me know :)
PSS: I don't want to put any of my information on here so if you by some miracle are reading this AND found my camera hopefully you can find someone who has my number and let them know and they will let me know! yay!

Isaiah 41:10
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Day 17- Random Red Rainy Rachel

I really had no inspiration for a blog post today because most of the day was spent in a car on our way back to Columbia.  I could of blogged about the killer Mexican food I ate, or the really awesome slushie machine at the gas station or something cool on road...but there was nothing cool on the road.  So it's days like today, when it's dreary and yucky outside and nothing exciting has happened that you just have to have a photo shoot! And that's what we did! We had a 5 minute photo shoot with the rain, a red umbrella and a brick wall and it was divine!

Hosea 6:3
Let us acknowledge the LORD;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth.

Day 16- Leafy Sea Dragon

Today was a great day.  We kicked it off with a fabulous breakfast and then enjoyed a fabulous service at North Point Community Church. This place was off the walls awesome and probably one of the biggest churches I've ever attended....but I LOVED every second of it! Such a great message on praying boldly and asking God to use us individually in different ways to glorify His name.  Then, we got fat at the Varsity.  It was probably the most greasiest food I've ever eaten but at the same time SO delicious because they do a really good job at hiding the grease. I don't know how, or how to explain it... but they do! We also went to the aquarium! And OH, BOY...it was FANTASTIC! I loved everything about it.  I think we were more excited about all the fishies than all the little kids there...combined.  See, it's the simple things that put a smile on my face!  My favorite little guy was the Leafy Sea Dragon...for obvious reasons...he looks so freaking cool! He is going to be our new addition to our apartment next year as well as our 1,000 lb pig, dog, chinchilla, and penguin.  After the aquarium we went to the World of Coke where we watched a 4D film that drenched us in water, punched us in the back and shook us around aggressively...and then we tried a million different coke products from around the world! Overall, it was a great day.

PS: Sorry this is a long post.  If you made it all the way to this point, congrats! You probably could care less what I do everyday...but I sorta use this blog as my electronic scrapbook! Nifty idea, right?! Blogs are totally the new facebook :)

Acts 4: 29-30
"Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

Day 15- Moseying

Today we moseyed. All morning....all afternoon...and all evening- straight up, hardcore moseying. So aka, the BEST DAY EVER! Plus we did CRAFTS, which made it even more fantastic! We also moseyed around town looking at mansions and ate tons of foods that ruined any of my hopes of a new years resolution..oh, well!  Then we watched one of my all-time favorite movies, Mamma Mia...and discussed how I am going to be an obnoxious crying embarrassment in every wedding I'm in, baby names, GREECE, getting rid of organs and other weird things that don't need to be posted on the blog!

PS: Please don't judge my awful looking afro hair.

Matthew 5:14
You are the light of the world, a city on a hill cannot be hidden

Day 14- scount & ginger

Welcome Scout and Ginger to the blog!  Today my 3 besties and I arrived at the Riverside Mansions in Atalanta. Yep, I'm staying in a neighborhood of mansions. No big deal. We had such a lovely spaghetti dinner...seriously, nothing beats home cooked meals! We watched some Greys anatomy and a movie...I slept through it because I'm a child and can't watch movies when it;s dark outside. And of course we played with Scout and Ginger!  Tomorrow we are doing CRAFTS! I LOVE CRAFTS! SO I'M STOKED! WAHOO!

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Day 13- Stars

As most of you know, after reading the multiple facebook statuses; a new zodiac sign was created which caused extreme mayhem throughout the world.  I'm being dramatic, I know. But, seriously I was a little bit upset that I had to completely change to this Libra character.  It's not ok with me. Not even a little bit, not even at all. (name that movie!!!!)  But, just a few minutes ago I read somewhere that this sign switching only applies to those born after 2009. Hm, who knows whats really going on- because I sure don't. Heck, horoscopes aren't even real. Oh yeah, have you noticed how I haven't posted about what I eat everyday? ya, it's because food on campus is NOT worth posting about.... :(

PS: stay tuned for some ATL shenanigans this weekend!!

Psalm 148: 1-4
Praise the LORD.
   Praise the LORD from the heavens;
praise him in the heights above.
Praise him, all his angels;
praise him, all his heavenly hosts.
Praise him, sun and moon;
praise him, all you shining stars.
Praise him, you highest heavens
and you waters above the skies.

Day 12- College Life

so. much. love. I love these people. They are my people. I would not be where I am today without them. College Life is up and running again and I could not be happier! Each day I get a little bit more excited about becoming a Young Life leader. AH! YAY! I'm just so excited, thrilled and even a little nervous but, I especially feel so blessed that I feel called to be apart of this wonderful ministry! I have a feeling that a lot of the future posts will be centered around the wonderful things God is doing in my life...so get excited blog fans!

PS: i love you.

Isaiah 42:6-7
"I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness."

Day 11- Lazy Day

Today I was the definition of lazy. Slept through my 9 o'clock alarm and woke up at 11. Because of that my determination to do anything productive became nonexistent.  So from about 1-9 with a break to go eat dinner I sat on the couch and watched TV.  And I am okay with that...because everyone needs a lazy day every once in awhile :) We also got the heat fixed...yay...but now I'm chillin in shorts and a t-shirt sweating because I am not used to this heat stuff.

Psalm 61: 5-6
My soul, wait in silence for God only,
For my hope is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation,
My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.

Day 10- Snow day!

Snow day! I love the snow...like, I get really excited about snow...like Christmas morning excited! Everything just looks so much better covered in snow! And even though I was not prepared at all for this weather my toes just got to the point where they were so numb I couldn't even feel them and it was fine! Such a fun day, filled with SO many fabulous people!

PS: Please pray that someone will come fix our heat soon!

Isaiah 1:18
"Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.

Sunday, January 9, 2011

Day 9- Tires

If I had to describe today I wouldn't waste my time talking about how we have no heat, or how we lost power for a little bit or how my roommates tires got slashed, or how I spent way too much money at Walmart...Instead, I would talk about how I got to spend quality bonding time in the tire shop with 6 of my dearest friends, and how I saw so many of my beautiful friends that I've been without for a month, and I would talk a lot about how I went to church at Midtown tonight because I have missed Midtown more than words can describe, and I'm so fired up about this new year and growing in Godliness! I would also talk about how classes are canceled for tomorrow...even though there is no evidence of snow...man, I love going to school in the south :)

PS: Whoever slashed Rachel's tires...you are so dumb.. you are really dumb-for real, you are really, really, really, really so dumb and we're gonna find you!

Decided to start a daily bible verse- kinda excited about it :)
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Day 8- BRE

I just want to start out by saying I seriously have THE BEST ROOMMATE EVER! (AKA BRE- from the title in case you didn't catch that) We haven't even begun living together, but I can tell we are going to be a pretty great match!  I came back to Columbia tonight and was so warmly welcomed (not actually warm because we have no heat...yay!) by my new roommate Rachel! She is just so great, I can't even begin to describe all of her amazing qualities...but to start she decorated our entire apartment! I mean come on...she is like super roommate! Didn't she do a great job?! I know I've said it before but I'm so incredibly blessed to have such wonderful friends! Words can't even describe. I'm so excited for the semester to start..judging by tonight I can tell it's going to be a good one :)

PS: Thanks Momma Huppertz for all of your amazing interior design ideas! I LOVE it ALL!

Day 7- Buttons

Today I woke up way too early. 8 AM early! I had the whole day to get out and see the world, but I decided to coop up inside and watch TV and do crafts (I did go out to lunch- but, I forgot my camera which was probably a good thing or else this would be another post about what I ate today) I LOVE crafts. love love love them. I like putting my creative juices to work...but I got a little glue gun crazy with this project.  After multiple glue gun burns, and gluing my fingers together I made 4 little buttons frames! Aren't they cute?! Such an easy and inexpensive project!

Day 6- Meatbawls

This is a big post so buckle your seat belts and get reeeeeady!
Too many great things happened today, and I'm so indecisive and could not choose one picture...well, actually just one event. So my friends, I am blogging about three different events from today.  Yep, you read that right...THREE...I guess I just have a really exciting life :)

So first:

So I decided to make my own specialty coffee drink.  As you can tell this turned into a disaster but the drink ended up being SO GOOD...like delicious, Starbucks should really consider hiring me as a drink maker! My recipe: I mixed milk with white chocolate chips, Starbucks caramel coffee and some hot coco and another secrete ingredient which I can't reveal!  But, you see I put this concoction in for WAY to long and I lost all of it as you can tell by the picture.  But, I made it again and I highly suggest that everyone try it!

The blog just wouldn't be the same if I didn't post about what I ate today right?! Tonight me and my meatbawls went to Ozzies Italian Corner.  I went to dinner knowing I wasn't going to order anything because I had a grand total of 5 dollars in my wallet, which was nowhere near close to being able to cover a meal at this place.  But the Ozzies staff is absolutely amazing because they gave my friend a free meal because they first gave her the wrong dish.  And my friend so graciously gave it to me.  SERIOUSLY?! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! Look at that food!!!! AND IT WAS FREE! Thank you Carol, and thank you Ozzies for messing up the order!

PS: we set a restaurant record of fitting 9 people into a 6 person booth...good work ladies...I mean meatbawls :)

Then my meatbawls spent some quality time with flat kyle. I'm not sure what flat Kyle's purpose is but he is cute and we like taking pictures with him! Everyone should have a flat Kyle in their life! Aren't my friends pretty too... I am just too spoiled with such an amazing group of friends!

PS: There are probably tons of grammar issues with this post but I'm too lazy to re-read this and some of my blog fans are really rushing me and its stressing me out! ah!

Day 5- seestah

Rachel: Will you go with me to Winchester to move my stuff in?
Me: Nope
Rachel: Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!
Me: Will you buy me lunch?
Rachel: ya...
Me: YES!

....the things I do for some yummy Thai food!

I helped my sister move into her apartment, which turned into me carrying some bags up then watching her put together a shelf! I'm such a helpful sister! Then she treated me to lunch because of my awesome sisterliness! I couldn't help but post about food again because it was just SO delicious. The best part of our experience there was when the owners 1 yr. old daughter showed us to our table.  She was the cutest little thing I've ever seen! I invited her to eat lunch with us but her mom taught her well and she just walked away so preciously :) She also started vacuuming the restaurant which made me want to take her home even more...not because she would vacuum for me but because she was just SOO CUTE and reminded me of when I was a kid! I would of taken a picture of her for the blog, but that would have been a tad creepy and not okay.  Anywho, I loved everything about downtown Winchester- from the old buildings with cute little colored shutters to the huge trees hovering over the "walking mall." I love spontaneous trips like these...you should go on one...they are fabulous...especially with a sister :)
PS: I promise this isn't a blog about what I eat everyday...but hm, that would be kinda cool...

Day 4- D&B

Tonight a group of fabulous people went to Dave and Busters for a birthday celebration.  We ate, and played games, and giggled :) This game was called Spin-a-win. I saw two girls win the jackpot on this game so  figured I could probably win too...but I didn't even come close.  But, I still had a dandy time....I even got enough tickets for a nerds rope and laffy taffy! I would've taken a picture of it but I promised no food in this post! Have a blessed day!

Day 3- best frands

Yep. You're probably thinking...another post about food?! Well, food is great and makes me really happy so it deserves to be noted as the best part of my days!  Tonight I spent a lovely evening with three AMAZING friends from USC; Allison, Caroline and Tommy.  We all contributed to this gourmet meal...Tommy prepared the meat, Caroline provided wonderful hospitality and cleaned, Allison baked a scrumptious cheesecake- seriously though- it was divine, and I...well I ate. Ya know, just doin' what I do best :) This meal was absolutely amazing and I am so blessed to have such amazing friends! It is always difficult leaving and heading back to school, but having three great friends like Allison, Caroline and Tommy makes it a little bit easier :)  Stay tuned for what's in store for tomorrows adventures!

PS: I promise tomorrows post will not be about food.

Sunday, January 2, 2011

Day 2- Famjam Din

Tonight, the Pacholski clan had a very lovely supper.  If you couldn't tell by my second post about food- I like to eat. A lot. My mom so wonderfully made a standing rib roast and we graciously devoured it!  Because all four members of our clan live in different places/ 2 different states makes it a little difficult to have family dinners. Even when we actually are all together in the same house someone is usually out for the evening (sorry Mom & Dad) so, when we get to spend time together and eat a great meal it is very special and such a great time!  I hope you are all trying to spend quality time with your family this holiday season because family is great and it is important to cherish every moment you have together!

PS: I ate all that meat. yep.

Day 1- Froth

When I planned to do this project I said I would start blogging on January 1st.  Well, I know it is no longer the 1st, and I know I put more than one picture! Oh, well. This evening me and my ladies went to Cafe Amouri in the hopes of watching an open mic night. Unfortunately, open mic night was canceled. So sad. I ordered my second white mocha of the day, but this one had a special surprise! 1. When the barista gave me my drink it was in this cute little blue mug that I was so tempted to hide in my purse and take home, but I didn't. 2. There was a leaf designed into the froth! I was really excited, maybe a little too excited about this which just goes to show how the simple things in life really do make me happy.  I hope you enjoy my leaf froth and my beautiful friends modeling the mug!

PS: Coffee and I are tight, so I guarantee this will not be the last coffee post. Get excited!

Project 365

Happy New Year and welcome to my blog! This blog is going to be used primarily for my 365 project. I will be taking one photo a day for an entire year. Yeah, crazy right?! I’m not a professional, and I know absolutely nothing about photography- I just love taking pictures of pretty things that will leave me with lasting memories! Keeping up with the blog is part of my new year’s resolution, so if you see that I’m slacking please yell at me and motivate me!
I love the simple things in life that bring immense joy and giggles. I plan on taking pictures that do just that. For those of you who know me, you know that I laugh at just about everything… so this should be a relatively easy task! I hope that through my pictures you are able to find the same kind of happiness and learn a little bit about me along the way!
