Day 46- 70 in February?

Today was absolutely GORGEOUS and an all-around GREAT day! I only had one class today and then spent a solid 4 and a 1/2 hours on the horseshoe taking pictures, singing, rapping, eating, reading, napping- such a good time! I was also given the wonderful opportunity to hear such an inspirational story from Debbie Sobeski whose strength in the Lord is so evident and inspiring.  At the event I won her book...it's the first thing i have EVER won and probably the best gift I could ever receive :) can't wait to read it tomorrow on the shoe!

PS: just wanna give a shout out to my girl, Ally for making me some divine food in cooking class! Let's make this an every Thursday thing? :)

Psalm 130:5
"I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope."

Day 45- spring valley lovin

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE! Such a fun filled night with some AWESOME spring valley girls at moes, walgreens and gleeking :) Can't wait to spend so many more nights together!
John 6:28-29
"Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."

Day 44- Valentine's Day

This is one heck of a Valentines Day set up, right?!  Rachel and I were just showered with Valentines Day love and it was absolutely wonderful!  You probably cannot tell from the picture but Rachel and I are not huge fans of this holiday...especially Rachel because she is a love hater. I'm just selfish and want to be given flowers and chocolates 365 days of the year.  And yes, we received a heart pinata.  Since we are both single it seemed like the only reasonable thing to do was smash the living day lights out of a pink heart and then drown our sorrows in chocolate candy.  Just kidding...we like being single :)

1 John 4:1
"This is real love--not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins"

Day 44- exhausted.

I LOVE these girls! They had to be highlighted in at least one blog post from this weekend because these three wonderful ladies made this weekend so wonderful.  My abs are sore from laughing so much and also probably from holding 1,000 pound serving trays above peoples heads :)  This was also one of the only pictures I took on our last day at Windy Gap and I like it.  But, if you can't tell from this picture we are all beyond tired and took naps on the way home...well, except taylor because she was driving! So, thanks ladies for being so wonderful and being apart of my life.  And blog viewers: I love you too and I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot more of these girls throughout the year.

Isaiah 58:11
"And the LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail."

Day 43- work crew

...and this is the best work crew team!! Through all the long nights, and early mornings, setting up perfect and precise table setups, bussing disgusting concoctions of every single food item served, sweeping enough food off the ground to make a full meal, cleaning the tables then putting dirty chairs on them then taking the chairs down and cleaning them again...everyone remained SO encouraging a kept a smile on their face and put a side all selfless issues and just served the high school kids with loving hearts because that's what Jesus has called us to do.

Ephesians 6:7
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men

Day 42- DA WINDY GAP.

First off, for those of you have been checking constantly all weekend for a blog update...i'm sorry.  I'm just now recovering from a physically draining but AWESOME weekend. I am so blessed to have been able to be apart of the BEST work crew ever at Windy Gap and serve such loving high school kids. This weekend was just an awesome reminder of how great the Lord is and how much He loves us!  I feel so blessed to be surrounded by such an encouraging and all-together wonderful community! God is so good :)

1 Peter 4:10
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms"

Day 41- Which Which

A couple posts ago I said that Which Which was my new favorite place...and tonight definitely solidified that comment!  Not only did I get a fabulously made sandwich... I also helped benefit the Delta Zeta sorority and spent precious time with my frands! Whoot Whoot. 3 for 1 deal!  Look at that sandwich...try and tell me that doesn't look like the best thing you've ever laid eyes on...because you can't! My tummy is so happy right now :)

PS: stay tuned for some awesome times from this weekend at Windy Gap! You don't want to miss out- promise!

John 8:12
Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, "“I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Day 40- Laundry.

So, all my frands are freakin out about their tests tomorrow in my living room. Well, that's a bit dramatic they are just deep in chemistry talk but I was being a huge distraction so I decided to stop being an annoying roommate who does not have any tests this week and do laundry! And it was much needed...3 loads worth...yeah.  Now, I'm sitting in the living room listening to them battle about what valence electrons are while I take pictures of them being all studious.

Ephesians 2:10
"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Day 39- FUSE DP!

So, my roommate and I have FUSE DANCE PARTIES all the time! And they are the best things ever.  We just find our inner gaga and bust a few moves, it's a good time and I know you're jealous your roomie aint as cool as mine! Fuse dance parties are so great for so many reasons: 1. who doesn't love GREAT music and GREAT classic countdowns?! 2. break a sweat. weekly cardio baby. 3. great bonding time. 4. stress reliever. for real. just dance it out. 5. it's just fun, alright?!!!! I'm sure you're already hooked and already fusing it up right now :)

Ecclesiastes 3: 1&4
"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance"

Day 38- First CLUB!

Of course I forgot my camera for this very important event....so I took a picture of myself. yep. please do not judge me. Tonight was my first time going to my new team, Ridge View's club! To say the least, it was AWESOME! I was overwhelmed at how welcoming all the girls were and how much fun they were! I was initiated with a pie.. not just thrown in the face but smothered!  After 3 rounds of shampoo and conditioner is finally got it all out! At least it tasted good! I cant wait to get to know the girls better and create lasting relationships with them!  It's an amazing feeling knowing and trusting that God has placed me in the right place and has a plan for me.  I'm uber duper excited for all the things Ridge View has in store for me!

Psalm 23: 1-3
The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

Today was Young Life "bid day" placement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such an exciting day!!!!!!!!!!!! I was placed at Ridge View High School and I'm SOOOOO excited to see what the Lord has planned for me there! I'm so blessed to be with such an amazing group of people! I can't wait to get into the high school and meet so many kids and form relationships and just grow closer to God! Can you tell how excited I am?! I don't think I've ever used so many exclamation points!!!! I'm too excited to go to sleep right now!!!!! yippeeeee!!!!

Isaiah 42:6-7
"I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness"

Day 36- febreze

I missed a day and it just messed everything up. So, I took this today and we are just going to pretend I took it a few days ago.  We love febreze.  Sometimes we get a little crazy with it, but at least our place smells good. This is the most random thing ever so I don't really know what else to say...

Psalm 100:4
"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, & into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him."

Day 35- Chocolate

Everybody has their weaknesses. But mine is so hardcore and I could never live without it, I can practically not even go a day without it and it's....chocolate.  Anything chocolate...especially dark chocolate...ah, makes my stomach happy just thinking about it! But more specifically Dove Chocolates are my all-time favorite because I feel so inspired about reading the little messages on the wrapper... it's just an all-around good time eating them!

PS: So....any fellas out there reading this: Valentines day is quickly approaching...Dove Dark and Caramel chocolates are my favorites as well as gerbera daisies. Just sayin :)

Matthew 11:28-30
"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. "For My yoke is easy, and My load is light."

Day 34- shotssss

I walked by the free flu shot stand everyday for the past 2 weeks and thought about it...actually got into a little argument with a woman once....and never actually got it done.  BUT, today I walked by and it was FREE! My procrastination actually paid off! And then I called my mom because I thought she would be proud of me for doing such an adult-like thing and she said proudly, "oh, good. glad you one at the end of the flu season." Bummer. I guess that's why it was free...
PS: While this picture was taken I was actually talking about my blog!!! wooohoo just spreadin the word ya know

Exodus 23:25
“So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you."

Day 33- a true artist at work.

My homework...you know, drawing my interpretation of my favorite children's book.  Have I already said how much I love my major...because I really do love it!  I also got to play with 4 yr. olds this afternoon and walk 1,000 times around the horseshoe with some frands! woo- good day :) Stay tuned for the final product!

Psalm 25:4-5
Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you

Day 32- OTH

The view from my bed.  My view for pretty much the entire day. I had my young life interview this morning, then came back and took a nap. Then went to my art and english classes, then came back and took another nap.  Then I ate dinner, and came back and laid in bed.  My roommate actually called me a "boring roommate." She is just so hurtful sometimes :) And yes, I watch One Tree Hill, however; out of 8 seasons of OTH tonight was the first night I watched an episode not recorded or online....and I hated it...way too many commercials!!!! And the episode was WAY too happy...that sounds bad...but I'm all about the intense drama. Oh well, lovey-dovey marriage stuff is great too!

1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
